Whether it is a busy workgroup, your relatives sharing updates and random photos, or a flood of memes from your friends, this feature aims to deliver the gist of it all in a short, easy-to-read summary.
According to early beta reports, the summaries are expected to be smart, private, and multilingual. This means the app will detect the key points of a conversation and present them in a language you understand, without compromising your privacy.
One of the most promising aspects of the feature is how it handles data.
WhatsApp reportedly intends to process these summaries locally on your device or use privacy-preserving methods, meaning your chats will not be sent to external servers for analysis.
That is in line with WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption promise, which has been a cornerstone of the app’s appeal.
As of now, WhatsApp has not confirmed an official launch date.
However, sources suggest that this feature may be rolled out in a future update for both Android and iOS users.
